Hebrew University - Yirmiyahu Yovel (Dept of Philosophy) gets a response to his pro-Hamas propaganda

Subject: re a Just and Criminal War by Yirmiyahu Yovel

Prof Yovel states in the article - A just and criminal war - Haaretz - Israel News:
“In the name of a justified goal, Israel rained down fire and destruction on a closed ghetto with one of the highest population densities in the world. For three weeks, parents and children were crowded into unprotected apartments or fled from one school to another, from one hospital to the next; but they had no refuge from the bombs of the best air force in the world, or the shells of ground forces that sacrificed scores, even hundreds of these people in order to minimize the risk to its own soldiers, and to strike at terrorist fighters, who should justly be hit, but not at any price.”

Not a single word is mentioned in regard to Kassams flying from Gaza to Sderot, Beersheva, Ashkelon or the kibbutzim nightly, mercilessly... not a word is uttered by the good Israeli Professor Yovel.

Hamas doesn’t think about such sensitive things as houses, women and children. Their motto is to kill as many Jews as they can ..... unlike the kissup Yovel the wimp portrays the Palestinians.

How interesting Prof YHovel that your one sided concern is so obvious. What happened to your Jewishness and defense of your Homeland?

On the other hand ,Charles Krauthammer writes in the Washington Post re Gaza and Israel:

  • Late Saturday, thousands of Gazans received Arabic-language cell-phone messages from the Israeli military, urging them to leave homes where militants might have stashed weapons. - Associated Press, Dec. 27

  • Some geopolitical conflicts are morally complicated. The Israel-Gaza war is not. It possesses a moral clarity not only rare but excruciating.

  • Israel is so scrupulous about civilian life that, risking the element of surprise, it contacts enemy noncombatants in advance to warn them of approaching danger. Hamas, which started this conflict with unrelenting rocket and mortar attacks on unarmed Israelis - 6,464 launched from Gaza in the last three years - deliberately places its weapons in and near the homes of its own people.

  • For Hamas the only thing more prized than dead Jews are dead Palestinians.

  • Israel has but a single objective in Gaza - peace: the calm, open, normal relations it offered Gaza when it withdrew in 2005.

  • There’s only one grievance and Hamas is open about it. Israel’s very existence. Nor does Hamas conceal its strategy: provoke conflict; wait for the inevitable civilian casualties; and bring down the world’s opprobrium on Israel.

Haaretz should stop and think before publishing pro Hamas propaganda by Jews who lost their wits and brains to a disease called WIMP-IDOM
